Situated on the tranquil shores of
Gustavus, Alaska sits a majestic lodge, the Bear Track
Inn. Relax in front of a roaring fire in a family owned
and operated Inn offering the finest food and service,
as well as breathtaking views of snow capped mountains,
streams and sea. Unwind in the ambience of a
hand-crafted log Inn, featuring spacious guest rooms
with private bath, equipped meeting room, large open
lobby with fireplace, and an airy, window-filled dining
room.

The Lodge
Our Glacier Bay Lodge features
handcrafted log construction with 14 spacious guest
rooms. The lobby is the focal point of the Lodge,
stretching 30 feet from floor to ceiling, offering
inspiring views of streams, wildlife, mountains,
forests, meadows, and Icy Strait. Wilderness abounds
from windows throughout the Lodge.
Bask in front of a walk-around fireplace - the only
fireplace in Gustavus. There are overstuffed suede
couches, handmade tables, handcrafted chandeliers
and lighting fixtures, including two moose antler
chandeliers. Everything has been personally selected
to compliment the building.
The Inn’s guest rooms are huge (270 square feet).
Each room has two queen-size beds, table and chairs,
an armoire, and a trestle bench. The second floor
rooms have vaulted ceilings and views which cannot
be matched anywhere in Gustavus. All rooms have down
comforters, 200-thread count sheets, down pillows
and thick bath sheets.

Dining
The Inn’s dining room features a
family-style atmosphere with all meals included in the
rate. Breakfast and dinner are served in the dining
room, with lunch provided on any of our excursions.
Choose between a locally brewed beer and an extensive
wine list to compliment the dinner menu. Select
between four to six entrees that could include steak,
salmon, halibut, pork tenderloin, chicken, musk ox,
caribou and vegetarian dishes. There will also be
nightly specials such as Halibut Parmesan, Excursion
Halibut, or Salmon in Parchment. Combine this with
Alaskan favorites such as Dungeness Crab, Alaskan
Spotted Prawns, seafood soups and salads, homemade
breads, freshly made dressings, and finish with
dazzling desserts!

Activities and Tours
Catch the fish of your dreams! We offer
saltwater charters for barn-door- size halibut and
hard-hitting salmon. We also offer Blue Ribbon stream
fishing. Enjoy fishing secluded streams for Pink,
Silver, Sockeye, or Chum Salmon. Also catch Dolly
Varden, Cutthroat Trout, or Steelhead.
The Bear Track Inn is not just a fishing lodge. Choose
your own itinerary. Go back in time with one of our
many glacier tours in Glacier Bay. Choose your own
vessel for a whale watching adventure, an 80-passenger
catamaran, a six-passenger touring vessel, or a one or
two person kayak. You can hike into Glacier Bay
National Park and tour seldom viewed waterfalls,
bears, moose, or wolves. You can choose to be dropped
off on a deserted beach with six other brave souls to
create a self-guided bike tour. Not satisfied yet?
Many custom tours include sailboats, mini cruise
ships, bear watching, excursions to Skagway for a ride
on the historic White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad,
golfing packages, and underwater dive trips. These

Salt Water Fishing (includes
guide, tackle, and licenses; custom fish smoking and
processing extra) - Fish on local charters, a
shared deluxe cabin cruiser with up to six people,
for hard-hitting salmon and barn-door size halibut
(boat features enclosed cabin, galley, and head).

Fresh Water Fishing (includes
guide, licenses, floatplane or boat) - Fish
secluded streams for hard-hitting Silver, Sockeye,
Pink or Chum Salmon, along with Dolly Varden,
Cutthroat, and Rainbow Trout. All guided trips are catch
and release and fly-fishing only. Unguided
fly-out and walk-in trips are available. Prices
starting at $375.00 per person.

Glacier Trips - Cruise up bay
to experience the grandeur and beauty of Glacier Bay
aboard the Spirit of Adventure. This
high-speed vessel shows you Glacier Bay on an
all-day cruise. You will see massive glaciers and

camper drop-offs throughout Glacier Bay National

flying over the Brady Icefield, the Fairweather

Kayak with the Whales - Kayak
with otters, seals, porpoise, sea lions and whales.
Learn to recognize them by their sounds, behavior,
and appearance. The sea lions are playful and noisy,
the seal timid, the whales graceful yet
awe-inspiring. Our trips start with a short boat
ride from Gustavus and include tide pool
exploration, rain forest trek, and a gourmet lunch
among the tumbled boulders on the beach. Price
