Vessel Specifications:

Commissioned in 1996, the MV Perseverance is a double steel- hulled trawler style yacht. Built to commercial standards; she is a true oceangoing vessel. Twin Cummins 855, 350 hp diesels, 2-Cummins 30 kw electric gensets, 1 super quiet Kubota 7 kw night generator, 15,000 gallons diesel fuel, 400 gallons gasoline, 10,000 gallons potable water, certified marine sanitation.

Safety:
The Perseverance maintains strict USCG safety standards. A full safety explanation and tour is provided by the captain at the outset of your journey so you become familiar with your environment and enjoy peace of mind. Smoking is permitted in designated areas only.

Communications:
The Perseverance and her fleet are equipped with VHS radios to communicate with each other and, if necessary, other boats and the US Coast Guard. A satellite telephone is available on the Perseverance; cell phones and internet are usable in some areas.

Guest Services:
With a maximum of eight guests and a crew of six, Wild Alaska Cruises anticipates your needs and desires. Special requests are the norm not the exception. Want sushi? The chef prepares it. Kayaking? A kayak magically appears. All fish are filleted, vacuumed- packed then frozen and packaged in airline-approved wetlock boxes to insure its safe trip home.

Accommodations:
Four well-appointed guest staterooms allow up to eight guests to relax in comfort. All rooms have comfy beds (queen or double beds) and private ensuite baths with unlimited hot water and fluffy towels. The salon and all decks are available for use 24 hours a day. Enjoy satellite radio, TV, and DVD. The pilothouse is available anytime – stop in and help steer the ship or keep the captain company.

Dining:
Wild Alaska’s talented chef creates gourmet dinners emphasizing Pacific Northwest ingredients – fresh crab, shrimp, halibut and salmon. Crisp salads and homemade ice cream are just some of our specialties. Hot breakfasts and freshly ground Alaskan- roast coffee greet you each morning. Hot appetizers await you at the end of your sightseeing or fishing day. Enjoy a drink on the deck, along with a bucket of shrimp or other tantalizing treats. Special requests and diets can easily be accommodated.

Activities:
Sportfishing is our specialty and catching halibut and salmon is what we do best. Go for a Salmon Grand Slam – catch all five species of Pacific salmon in one day- or catch lots of tackle smashing halibut and lingcod or some of the 32 different species of rockfish. If bear hunting is your wish, ask us about our self-guided black bear hunts in May. See hundreds of whales, bears, eagles, orcas, otters, seals and sea lions. Go shrimping, crabbing and clamming nearly everyday. Grab a kayak and explore a rainforest cove or take one of the 14’ skiffs and flyfish a nearby stream. Take an exciting trip to one of the incredible glaciers. See giant icebergs and the amazing colors that appear only in 10,000 year-old ice.

Boarding:
Wild Alaska assists you in baggage transfer and transportation. Plan to arrive Juneau or Petersburg the day before your cruise departs. Hotel reservations are easily secured in both cities and Wild Alaska Cruises is happy to help you with these arrangements or make recommendations.
